I grew up in Bangor. Rugby and golf were my main interests . After leaving Bangor Grammar School, I studied dentistry at Edinburgh University. After qualifying in 1987, I returned home to do general practice training in Omagh. Then a four year spell working in Shrewsbury as an associate dentist, before returning to run this dental practice.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice and offer everything except orthodontics and implants for which I refer any patients who require them. Like most modern dentists, I prefer to help patients avoid invasive treatment. If treatment becomes necessary, I make use of minimally invasive techniques that use sophisticated adhesive tooth coloured resins. I appreciate that patients have work and family commitments, so endeavour to be as efficient as possible in scheduling visits and the amount of work provided at each appointment.

I also qualified from Edinburgh in 1987 and went straight into general practice until 1991 when our son Robbie was born. I then took several years out during which time I had our daughter Rebecca. I returned to work full time in 1997 when I joined Paul in the practice. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry but in particular working with children, and cosmetic dentistry involving crown, veneers and bridge work.

I mainly work with Hilary as her Dental Assistant, but will also be found on reception duties at other times of the week. This has allowed me to quickly get to know many of the individuals and families that are patients. Previously, I worked in a practice on the Shore Road where I gained my qualification in 2011.
Before my dental career started I worked as a beautician. The two are not unrelated as a healthy smile is an essential part of looking our best. Outside of working hours I like to keep fit, and have even been known to box. A seafood diner would by my ideal meal but I don't mean a fish supper.

I gained my Dental nursing qualification in 2012 while working in a dental practice on the Castlereagh road. Prior to that I had been a beauty consultant for Estee Lauder in House of Frazer. I mainly work as Paul’s nurse, but a few sessions a week I assist Hilary. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, dog walking and the odd bit of baking, being an avid fan of the "Bake off". I also like to go out for meals with my fiancé and we are planning our wedding in June next year.
